The cheap ones are absolutely fine. I paid £6 for mine and they are going strong several years later.
As has been said already, don't wear them in muddy conditions - they will have zero grip and you may go flat on your face as I did (in the mud)

Like Mike, I wear Specialist Crocs at work in hospitals. The rest of the time I'm in offroads unless I have my boots on:

Crofters use Crocs a lot up here in the summer. The old alternative was wellies to keep your feet dry tromping through peat bogs, across burns and in and out of boats. Now with crocs you just embrace getting wet, knowing you'll dry out quickly and without discomfort.

One word of warning - they suck in snow.

You jammy sod, they stopped us because the heel was not 'enclosed'...still wore them on night shift though

I had been hankering after a pair of these but the price tag and poor availability of the "off road" style put me off.

So guess what happened to my old pair of MuckBoot Tays that were damaged beyond repair? A little bit of silver marker branding them "Kroks" have made them look quite the part. Rustic looking but man are they better than the real thing.........hc

(I am on my 2nd pair of Tays. They are legendary)

I'm also planning a line in plant pots and I believe they make lovely carrot planters.......hc
