I admit probably a very random request , but I'm always surprised at what locations forum members come from so there is always a possibility someone here works in the Automotive testing industry.

Anyway , I'm after a Full sized Crash Test Dummy - The sort with articulated joints and a full set of limbs.

If anyone out there comes across one.... get in touch even if this post becomes a few years old.

Many thanks

TD

Would imagine they are very expensive to make and so would be used to destruction.

I suspect you may be correct , but always worth an ask in case one has failed failure testing margins ( I'm guessing ) and is deemed BER.

M.I.R.A and Milbrook, tend to sell them off to TV stations for use in programmes usually through special dealers. THey are quite expensive I'm being told and won't come with the internal electronics. I was told to (my friend works at MIRA) say, the best idea is to e-mail these places direct, and see if they will sell any old units.

hope this helps.

are you going to insure yourself for a hefty amount, then stage a horrific accident that sees "you" burn to a crisp. Then claim to be the long lost twin brother named as the sole beneficiary of the previously mentioned life insurance.

Then go to buy a massive cabin in the heart of canada and live out the rest of your days in paradise.............................................................................................

If for whatever reason this isn't actually what you need it for, Can i borrow it when your done lol

Once there was this kid who got into an accident and couldn't come to school,
but when he finally came back his hair had turned from black into bright white,
he said that it was from when the car had smashed so hard.

HmmmmmmmmmmmmmmMMMMMmmmmmm?

Did laugh at Dave's idea for it. Clever thinking ... could work too. :35:

You have no idea how frustrating it was trying to search for a CTD on google and all I kept getting was links and albums for THAT band.

Perhaps you need it as an authentic rescue dummy to practice hauling out of wells, basements, cliffs and caves?

While in the Fire Brigade we used a similar thing for realistically weighted rescue dummys. The one we had was filled with sand. Got a tad heavy when it got wet too!
