Some of you will recall I have been locked away in my cave in an attempt to improve the wood stabilization process further with colours....

Here is the latest test piece (Which I may just call Jade Wood)

The camera really does not show the colours as they are to the naked eye.
Solid colours should show greater contrast in differing woods however I do like the translucent colours....

I've got loads of wood to treat and the good news is the process only takes a day provided the wood has been prepared....

Once I've treated some scales they will be going on the website for sale.
Comments feedback appreciated.

Cheers
Tom

3 and 4 - Half of one surface polished on buffer for a few minutes, I've tried to capture the sheene with back light shining on picture 3 but not picture 4 so you can see the difference...even the edges are rounded nicely by the buffer

7 and 8 Oh yes it did ....resins penetrated all the way through...:D the colours are translucent and take the path of least resistance hence some areas more coloured than others areas....colours fully show when buffed up....Top piece is buffed bottom piece plain cut, not buffed.
