I just bought a Vintage Grenfell cloth shooting jacket...but it is too small for me and too big for SWMBO!
It is a double fabric construction Grenfell Cloth (a very tight weave - 600 threads per inch - twill woven cotton once Ventiles biggest rival) designed to be waterproof (like Ventile).
It is used but in pretty good nick - there is a restiched part of the hem, some burst stitching on one belt loop, a bit of wear on the leather covering of the belt buckle and some faint marks on the back.
Features include a metal zip front closure with a press-stud closed storm-flap, storm cuffs, belted waist, zip out poachers pouch and half boxed capacious cargo pockets.
Grenfell jackets (new ) cost about £400...but I have no idea how much this one would have cost!
Comaring it to ventile items I am asking a very reasonable £100.00
