Chop wood more efficiently

Nice idea, never seen it done before. I suppose it depends on how much wood you're splitting and how good the rounds are. Much of the stuff that I split is irregular and knotty, this trick wouldn't help much with that. The haft will need to be protected as it will take a lot of punishment where it hits the wood you're splitting instead of the edge hitting the block.

the tyre guys can cut closest edge to them and the haft hits the rubber tyre i wouldnt want ot hit the chain tho

but yes definatly better for nice straight US wood ;)
