Its my birthday soon, and I fancy a tipi style tent.

Does anyone know where I can get one from or can recommend that style tent.

It needs to be half decent not a cheap one from argos.

look forward to your replies.

cheers

I can vouch for the Helsport range: I have 2, the Porsanger 8 - 10 and the lavulight.

Both are excellent and have taken some abuse since I got them about 3 years ago.

Both were bought from Tamarack Outdoors (remember that Full Members of BcUK get discount:D) no link to Tamarack, just a very happy customer...

The Vango Tipis are within you budgets and seem to get nice things said about them. (I have never used one)

There are two ranges (one nylon (Juno) and one polycotton (Peace)) and they come in three sizes.

Mmmm, except the Peace Tipi seems to be no longer on the Vango website and the Juno is now in horrible colours and only in two sizes.

I would have a look at some online tent sellers and see what is still around.

The Vango is a great tent - why have they stopped the 8 person tent? Perfect for 4 of us.

I totally agree about the colours... What's wrong with just Green or a single colour.

The orange and green one isn't 'too' bad, but is useless for discreet camping!

the tundra 8 is good from bisontelt thats what i ve got but its big. Im thinking of selling mine but not for under £200 sorry. I think they sell smaller ones worth checking their price!

Good to see a swindon man on here, thats where im from and where my mates and family still live:)
