So with the debacle over 2012 london olympic tickets got me thinking, what would the bushcraft olympic look like?

1. Archery (kind of a given really)
2. 100m midnight pee from a hammock start

- Catapult shooting (after drinking a bottle of whisky)
- Fishing with a hobo line
- Canoeing, say to an island, pitch a tarp, light a fire, cook and eat some sausages, canoe back
- Combined slalom and hurdles race - through woodland, with dark green paracord guy-line hurdles
- Titanium spork relay

All essential bushcraft skills.

Welll... going by past couple of Ayrshire meets...

Highest number of songs played within a minute.
Craziest Bannock making and consumption.
The falling out the hammock while slightly inebriated.

More sensible suggestions?

Speed net weaving. First to complete a meter by a meter net.
Feather stick racing. Best feather stick made within say.. 5 mins.
Natural shelter building. first to build and get into a natural shelter... judges then pour several gallons of ice cold water on to it....

I think this would be a great idea but think it should be more like a bushcraft decathlon my suggestions for events would be

* Fastest fire by friction
* spoon carving given 1 hour then best one picked
* Marksmanship with an air rifle/ catapult different ranges for each
* Wild food scavenger hunt
* dressing a rabbit
* Blade sharpening then results judged

Any other ideas? Maybe this is something that can be done at the moot for a small prize lol
