okay thank you also if anybody knows can you repair a cracked fiberglass canoe ?

yes you can repair cracked fibreglass - put up photos of the crack to give us an idea of how bad the damage is.

I've just started building my own canoe from plywood.

It's a fraily straightforward process, with no huge requirement for carpentry skills or a large tool hoard.

Have a look at APACHE canoes thay are the way to go This is one i got as a kit it was easy to build and a lot cheaper than its rivals. Apache canoes are very good all round and are perfect for bushcraft trips.
