Bench vice -WANTED!

I think it's time I retired my old vice.. it's broken nad althouhg I've found a way of using gclamps to get it to tighten it's best i replced it with a working one.

Sooo.. does anyone have a nice bench vice with a value of around £30 max they'd like to swap? I need it to fit to my benches and if it has a little anvil spot that'd be sweet.

Check out Machine Mart for a reasonable vice for not much dosh. There's one down your way.

There's a lot of good old Record, Fortis, Paramo, Ajax, and Parkinsons vices on Ebay for not much money.
Decent quality English vices are quite cheap secondhand as long as you get them close enough to go and get them.

The cast steel ones are a lot better than the cast iron ones and you can usually tell them because for the most part they have a quick release mechanism (when talking about metal working vices that is).
