Hello everyone! I hope i dont sound rude but is there anybody driving from hertforshire area with an extra seat? I'd share price of petrol :o
Please PM if theres a chance of me being able to get a lift.
Cheers! :)

Rob

I will be arriving at Bridgend railway station (from Paddington station) on Friday 29th at 13.06 (1.06 pm)

Could anyone pick me up at any time from then onwards and give me a lift to camp?

That would be wonderful!

Also:

Things being so uncertain in London these days, I was wondering if anyone was driving from somewhere in the South West Greater London (I live betw. Croydon and Sutton) and would be willing to give me a lift all the way to the meetup.

I would of course contribute to petrol expense.

Thanks for your pms for any assistance

Yggdrasil :( Sorry mate, I already have two passengers, one from Aylesbury, and one needing to be returned to Market Harborough Leicestershire otherwise you would have been welcome.

I do hope you find someone!

At the rate that I have been having people from this area wanting or needing a lift it would almost be worth getting a minibus!!!

Whilst we're on the subject of lifts my offer to pick anyone up from SW area is still open.

unfortunatly Rob and Mel are unable to make this Bushmoot as they are in the process of moving house.

so the field shoots they normally organise with lifesize 3D tragets in the woods will not be going ahead this year :(

many people at the Bushmoot will be bringing and making bows so I expect that there will still be some archery going on though

Looks like im gonna be one my own, so unfortunatly can't give anyone a lift. Sorry, just found out when i got back this morning.

But i will be there :)

Im gonna be late to the party too :(

I'll try to get there as early as possible on the saturday, but it won't be before midday. Damn these last minute problems!

Right, it's official, I'm going to get there some time mid Friday evening, leaving Maidenhead at 1600.

Stuart - Want me to bring my Archery Boss along?

I know it's late, but anyone in the local area need a lift?

(Not that) Taz

sorry if this has been asked already (i did a search but didn't see anything)....

I was hoping to come up on Thursday night as I'm travelling from London and wanted to wake up there on Friday rather than in my dreary east london flat and then drive etc etc.

Anyway, is this going to be okay? I was thinking of leaving London about 3pm so I guess arriving about 6ish or later?

I'm looking forward to this one. Spring was great. Although it looks like it might be a wet one.

Cheers

I know we have the maps but are there any instructions of how to get to the site?
I seem to remember last year we did.

Cheers

Mark

Well, I guess it depends which way you are coming, but if you are driving passed Cardiff on the M4 I use:

Exit M4 at J35 take first exit for A473 to Bridgend
Down the dual carriage way, straight over the large round-about at the industrial estate.
Down some more dual carriage way
Straight across the next round-about with the A48, stay on the A473 heading due West.
Road is now single carriage way, straight over next small round about
Under railway bridge
At round about you can
A) carry on as if heading out of town, keep eyes left till you see what looks like a road or drive on the left that is blocked with great rocks, take next left (its quite close), single track road to offset crossroads/T-junction, and go right-then-left towards Merthyr Mawr
or
B) Turn south at roundabout onto B4265 to Ewenny, over railway, take first right just as you come into Ewenny, take next and only left before hitting the main road again!

If you can't follow the single track road all the way to the parking/camping area from there you really do need navigational help ;)
:D

To be honest, Merthyr Mawr is a lot easier to find to than Braziers is, as long as you don't go driving in circles around Bridgend... please don't ask!

Well I did ask that question as I would also have preferred to arrive on Thursday and I was told (by Stuart I think) people would only arrive on Friday. Which I took as meaning that our camp would only start on Friday.

I still hope you have a lovely journey whichever day it is!
