Pillow! there i said it, my sisters boyfriend bought me a karrimor one last year for my birthday as a wind up as we often take tue mick out of each others idea of camping, he was gutted when i was really pleased with it,
couple of months ago i started getting horrific headaches went to the Dr and apparently i had sprained a ligament in the back of my neck so keeping head supported is a major factor in preventing this again,
Roll mat is another luxury item i cant live without, i tried when i did the fifteen or less challenge the other month and spent the next four days aching.
so pillow and roll mat not the most decadent thing but definate luxury for me

I def' need support Sam due to neck probs'.

As long as something is giving support e.g. jacket, jumper etc..it helps.

Cold beer ! at this time of year it's not much of a problem but in the summer i would rather not drink than drink warm beer .

Craig............

Ya soft Southern Jessie you!

LOL!! Sorry had to be said too. Sorry to read about then neck ligament, that's gotta be bad. Glad you found a solution for it though

i can cope with being a jessie
just dont ask how i sprained it :naughty:
i used to use the jumper/jacket etc stuffed in bag to make a pillow and probably still would be if i hadnt been bought one but i find the pillow doesnt make the escape bids the jacket used to.

I do have one of the pillows that fold into itself for packing and an inflatable (look for Doris in the catalogue):o

As long as the 3 parts of the spine are in a semblence of alignment i'm not bad.

other luxuries i like to take are a honey stove to speed up first brew of the morning, a couple of books to read one fiction one refernace(usualy uncle rays survival handbook or SAS survival guide), couple of pipes and few types of tobacco for pipes

but pillow is the big one for me aligning the spine is definately important

I bring a pillow case and stuff a jumper or my coat in it. I don't see myself going all out Nessmuk and stuffing it with spruce browse.

Binoculars for a bit of twitching.

Baby wipes because they get the job done more efficiently.

I never bother with a pillow, just extra weight in my view, I just take a pillow case and stuff it with clothes and anything else that I have! :)

Something soft and plentiful to top and tail with ~ just two instances where the phrase 'It just doesn't cut it!' are absolutely essential :yikes: .
