I'd like to get my brother a multi-tool for his birthday . Now I know what I use , but am unsure of his requirements ( don't want to ask him and give the game away ) .
Bit of background - he's a software engineer for the MOD who every now and then has to go out and get his hands dirty . Unfortunately he's also a bit forgetful so anything with a locking blade will have to ruled out ( he's bound to go shopping with it on his belt/in his pocket ) and I would never forgive myself if he got pulled up .
Now I know I could get him a SAK or one of the bottom range leathermans , but I wondered if there was a tool more suited to his role , and at the same time being a bit special . Please include addons in your advice .
