Hello that axe looks awesome! I am working on refurbing my grandads old kent pattern axe at the moment, and am going to reshape the head to a finnish sort of style. How did you reshape yours? What tools did you use? How did you keep the temper?

Ok finally managed to finish up this axe project. Certainly a different axe handle style, still have not used it in anger so won't know how the laminations hold up yet?

I added a copper protector but it's hard to work without it buckling tho I think it came out ok? Copper lanyard tube and a copper/wood dangly bit that doesn't really serve any purpose! Knocked up a sheath out of 3mm leather.

sorry about the pic lighting and no that's not a makers mark of two champaign glasses, just a grind mark where a gouge was in the metal.
