I have a black plastic water Jerry that has been made into a storage can for charcoal for my camping bbq.
It has been cut off about 5" or so (from memory as it's packed away ) from the top and an aluminium collar has been put inside so the top ' lid' slots down over it.
At first glance it just looks like an ordinary
Jerry can. Probably surprise someone if they nicked it thinking it was petrol .

I'm trying to think of a way to have a mechanical spit on the Jerry Can BBQ Can, Something either mounted internally at one end ( away from the embers ) or capable of being surface mounted to slowly turn a Spit/Rotisserie.

Preferably mechanical wind up.

Ideas or links from the engineer hivemind please.

Trying between a "mini bar" which would be limiting as I'm not sure where I'd need it.. or a bbq/oven/firepit.... but then equally I saw the video of a 50 cal ammo box being turned into a fire and that was intriguing as well!

I have three main ideas running currently.

Horizontal BBQ with a motorised spit roast.

Drinks unit with integral Ice cubes and lighting.

Projector and sound system with batteries to suit.

I can't decide of this is a waste of time or not.

Maybe only of use in Arctic environments.
