  • Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
Im not entirly sure what thes are called off the top of mine, but i dont think the sami knife has been mentioned - it is a little like a small machette and traditionall the only thing that they would cary so it used as a small axe, knife and food prep. They seem to tend to have a very flared but to keep it safely gripped when being used with mittens etc on. Ive got a blade i am going to handle which has been on my list of jobs for a while now. Woud be interested to see if anyone uses them though, one of the main reasons it hasnt been is because a big knife i think looks more dodge than a small axe for playing in the UK.
