I don't think the laws against hunting wild mammals specifically prohibit flamethrowers, but they may just fall into the category of offensive weapons (unless you could prove you had lawful authority, or reasonably excuse, of course).

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lets not start that one up again!:yikes:

The law is also somewhat fuzzy on the matter of catapult launched chainsaws.
:D

Flippin' eck rappleby. A bit much maybe.

"post zombie" - you say you've been on here ages, you should know that's pretty much short hand for "if the country broke down at some point" and is never (not that I'm aware of) said in any sort of serious way.

I dunno how much of that was aimed my way, but just in case there was any doubt, I did mention something practical that might help, and also the first bit in italics should give you a hint to my view on the whole thing.

There you go though.

Good luck with your bow, hope it goes well.

Does the law prohibit any of Wile E. Coyote's contraptions? Other than the giant bow and arrow that is.

How about a ballista? Would that count as a bow hunting?

I don't know remember which video but Ron Hood from survival.com has a setup made from surgical tubing and a carbiner that shoots arrows check out the website and parouse the video section for woodsmaster vol 3

There is a little known by law that allows the hunting of wabbits with any weapon, as long as you speak as and dress as Elmer Fudd. ;) :D

A few years ago, I toyed with the idea of rabbit disposal on the airfield where I worked, using a large blowpipe and ball bearings as ammo. We encountered drawbacks, mainly the valve we were using was not fast enough, and the nitrogen cylinders required a land rover to tow them around.

you did what????

that's just a Chuffin big air rifle isn't it?:yikes:

Yeah, but I think a large reservoir is needed... the direct feed from 4000 PSI cylinders just doesn't give the power quickly enough. That, and the difficulties of stalking using a land rover. We didn't have one at the time, but I think a laser sight might have been a nice touch !

:You_Rock_
ah, sounds like fun!

of course, you could just strap Claymores around the landy, park it in the middle of the field and let rip with the same effect...though you'd probly not want to be in the landy at the time !:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
