Here are a few of the shinies that I've got finished in time to go to the Knife Show this weekend. These weren't made especially for the show (I wasn't sure if I would be going until a couple of weeks ago), but it did give me a deadline to get some unfinished bits out of my workshop.

anyhoo, pictures :)

and because I have finally got tired with stupid people fondling every single cutting edge on my table (and thieving scrotes takes expensive knives), I have made a new display case.

I like the display case, denying a thief a thing pleases me.

I also really like both axe heads in the first pic and the antler handled chopping knife (assuming that's what it is)

Wow Mr Bud, those are all simply stunning pieces of work, there's not a single thing there I wouldn't be chuffed to own. I imagine business is going to be brisk with those on display.

Lovely work, Dave.

Do you take and sell this sort of stuff at the bushmoot? I know someone who is going there.

For anyone who hasn't had one of Dave's blades, they cut like they are made of adamantium or something! The blade shapes and profiles are terrific (must get one of your shallower curve spoon blades sometime).

thanks folks :)

These are the sort of thing that I take to all shows, unless it is very specifically a particular type of show. So to a bushcraft doo like the moot I bring some knives, axes and sharpenin gear; but will also take some materials, blades, jewelry, trinkets and normal forgework. A historically based show will have historically picked items and a woofair/craft show will feature tools more heavily than knives and jewelry etc.

The dark knight knife and the stripey damascus ones were all 'use up the scraps of stuff' type of creations. The dak knight blade was forged during a recent course alongside a student and I had been meaning to use up some leather scraps for ages, the wrought iron for the guards had been scratching my fingers everytime I put my hand in that draw for months too. The stripey (humbugs) ones were to use some offcuts of 15n20 and EN42J that I had just created whilst making some tools for a customer the other week (also it was a procrastination project whilst doing other other orders!)

Love the humbug in the last picture. But those axe heads (as said many times) are stunning. I usually like your forged finish but that cleaned up on one the right is my favourite. :You_Rock_
