Thanks!, I finished them with a quick rub of Renaisance wax just now. I can live with it despite making a mess of some bits. ive some 3mm veg tan on order to make a sheath, which ill straight copy from a dug up one.

The resin hot glue was a bit of a pig to use, I ended up smearing it on with a old scalpel blade heated up on a electric ring.
