I meant to do this sooner, here's the detail of the stuff that was in my FAK demo:

Ouch Pouch:
Otterbox 1000 or Peli Micro-case (small) http://www.heinnie.com/Bags-and-Wallets/Peli-/Micro-Case/p-281-459-3191/
Elastoplasts, Imodium tabs, water-purification tabs, anti-histamine tabs, aspirin or paracetamol tabs, any other personal meds as required, all from your local pharmacy or supermarket.
The otterbox or micro-case is small and easily carried and will protect the contents.
This is your everyday use kit, you should be in and out of it most weeks so you can keep an eye on use-by dates, etc.
Also a good place for a tick-removal tool and is best kept with your other 'hygiene' kit (anti-bacterial wipes, sunblock, etc).

FAK bag:
XXS Exped or Ortlieb type drybag http://www.heinnie.com/Bags-and-Wallets/Exped-Drybags/Drybag/p-281-475-3297/
SAM splint http://www.spservices.co.uk/item/SAM_SAMSplint-Junior-46x11cm_65_1_370_0.html
Emergency care bandage http://www.spservices.co.uk/item/Brand_EmergencyCareBandage-10cm_23_0_3900_1.html
Triangular bandage (carry a minimum of 3 of them) http://www.spservices.co.uk/item/Brand_NonSterileNonWovenTriangularBandage-SINGLE_24_0_1581_1.html
Crepe bandage http://www.spservices.co.uk/item/Brand_QualityCottonCrepeBandage50cm_24_0_1567_1.html
Heatsheet blanket http://www.heinnie.com/Survival-Kit...-Emergency-Blanket---1-Person/p-495-496-9812/

I advised not to use the FAK bag for anything other than emergency/trauma kit - you should only open this bag for a serious casualty, your ouch-pouch is for all minor ailments.

The kit I used in the first demo was:
Fallkniven F1 (convex grind)
Enzo Trapper D2 (Scandi grind)
Mora Companion
Fallkniven DC521 sharpening stone (quite expensive, the smaller ones are much cheaper) http://www.heinnie.com/Sharpeners/DC521/p-370-8383/

Hope that is useful and thanks for the feedback, I had a good crowd to work with and I'm happy that everyone took something from it :)

I have a nice wooden toilet seat and lid in my garage. I was thinking of making a stool type contraption with four legs and using a sheet of abs I have to bend round to make a splash shield.

It would be easy enough to move about if we made portable shed/housing.

I quite like the hazel (or any wood ) woven screen ideas though materials might be limited on site. I also have a 3m x 1.5m piece or "Realtree" waxed tarp/canvas that I'm willing to donate.

Or has anyone got or see any damaged fence panels? I've seen 6'x6' damaged ones for a £5 each.

Rich

p.s. doubt I'll be able to make any meet this side of Xmas.

Just an update, been out all day today but will get the dates up tomorrow. Just need to phone owner, confirm and give notice in morning.

I think we're looking at December 13th-15th and January 17th-19th.

Be aware that the December dates you mention clash with the Middlewood Meet in honour of Drew' s birthday...I think a lot of folk will be going to that one.

Simon

Ah, didnt realize.

Thing is that I think 6th is probably too soon and 20th probably too close to Xmas so not sure what to do now.

January dates seem fine to me :0) I'd be up for the December dates as well

Luke

Cool, glad you can make it bud :)

I've decided to go with the December date. I phoned owner earlier but was no reply so must be busy. I have sent text with dates will wait for confirmation before putting threads up.

Hope to see you all in Xmas hats :D
