I used to welcome an annual migration of them from the neighbours laurel tree with wonder and affection, This year I've only seen one dead one and none last year. Nothing has changed on my or my neighbours fenceline so I don't know why things have changed.

Groundhog up a tree. I thought it was an Otter at first and wondered 'what the'. Then got a better look at it. Never seen one in that particular vicinity (in town, just off the ravine) but it was on a slope and some trees had recently been cleared below there. Apparently, just the kind of spot your average Groundhog likes to spend the day surveying.

I saw loads of those along the River Itchen on Monday. Also Cetis Warbler and some very noisy Common Reed Warbler.
Nice, at my old house there was a particular hedge and small tree next to it that the local little flock of Longtails seemed to really like, new resident cut both down and they never visited again.

Not me.
This was spotted by Sue Dakteris in Brittany.

Some of you know Sue. She is usually found at the Moots and may well have fed you, she has most of us.
