Hennessy Hammock Super Shelter (To keep warm)

I was wondering if you could tell me the approximate weight of the 6mm sheet and the 3mm sheet, rcastillo?I would love to buy a sheet or two for backpacking after reading what you said about them.I am going to be using them in my Hennessy Hammock also.

    pop up tent

I bought a pop up tent about a year or so ago.I was looking for a good strong one with a tough water repellent fly sheet. Most i came across were 1500 HH or 2000 HH.I eventually found one with a 3000 HH.It is called the Outwell Jersey S.They have two sizes, the S = Small, and the M = Medium.

    Soles of Boots have Rotted

I do not want to annoy any members who read this thread,by over quoting this picture, but i must thank you for posting this picture.I gave a pair of pro boots to my niece about a month ago, after storing them for a few years. They looked great when i gave them to her,but she told me the soles...

How do I clean sheep skins?

I have a few items made of sheepskin. What i do,is hang them over a chair in the sun light,in order to kill off all mould etc,and beat the dust, mould and mites out with a fly swat.I then spray febreeze over it to give it a nicer smell.I never comb or brush my sheepskin,as too much wool get pulled...

    Glastonbury tents

A very good idea for these festival organisers, would be to contact a couple of local metal detecting clubs in the area, and ask them to search for missing tent pegs etc, once the festival is over, and the bulk of the junk has been removed.metal detector clubs are usually only to pleased to help out...

    My Allotment

Those are beautiful looking allotments,it will be wonderful to see them all progress. An ugly little thing has been occuring in the uk recently, where, due to the food prices being so high, people are robbing allotments of their vegetables.i can see this happening a lot more in the future.I hope...

    Pop UpTent Quality

Thank you so very much Lasse2,that is a great help, and a real load off my mind.I do not feel as worried and confused now,and seeing as it weighs about the same as my terra nova solar tent,it will not be a psychological drag once it starts feeling heavy after a long journey.once again, thank you...

    Pop UpTent Quality

I found this video of how to fold a quechua pop up tent today.i will post the link,as it is better than the usual videos.it shows how the guy uses the bend, folding and the twist technique very clearly.it still looks complicated to me. Thank you for all the replies and advice.I feel slightly...

The scouts never looked like this in my day!

Dib Dib Dib...No wonder everyone's singing around the campfires.I wonder what they did to win those badges, and would they train me in the craft,if i asked for private tuition?

    Metal Detecting

one way,is to write to a farmer/landowner,asking if you can meet him to discuss metal detecting on his land.that way,by the time you actually meet him,he has had a longer period of time to think about the situation, and re-read your letter.another way,is to find out what pub etc he frequents,and...

funny you should say that.i have just tried this site out with the opera browser, and it is very dodgy.most of the forum, instead of being completely visible,is placed inside a small window,on the page, and i have to scroll through a small window to view the thread names.
