    Dear Agony Aunt...

Nice thread - all jest starts in truth :) My girlfriend doesn't mind me buying knives and camping gear, she laughs at me like I am a hopeless child but we do not have a joint account. Maybe if we did it would be a different story! However, I do find that I buy all this stuff and do not really...

Review Well I received my bag today and am very happy with it overall. Pros: - It is by far the most durable bag I have ever seen and will last me many years I am doubtless - It has a raised section of leather that rests on your lower back to lower contact with the back to reduce...

    reccommend me a fenix please!?

I have the HL 20 (r4 bulb). It runs off 1 AA batt that will last 55 hours on low power (more than good enough to read with) and 3 other settings. On full power it shines something like 200 ft for 2 hours I think. Compact, bombproof and efficient. £37 ish in Hennie Haynes.

Hey guys, cheers for the tips. I went with the Swiss Army leather bag in the end, £27.50 including postage and packing for a bomb-proof bag. It was precisely what I was looking for so chuffed. I'm gona be away a week so had to phone the guy to make sure I get one but asked if he could post it...

OK now I am not sure between the Dutch or Swiss army backpacks. Which is bigger? They seem similar in build quality so the only deciding factor will now be, which can fit more in?

Thanks for the links guys, much appreciated. I'm not looking for the "Military look", in fact I don't like it but I do need a sturdy bag that can stand up to a knock or two. Ronnie you found the exact one I was looking for! However, I have had my fingers burnt with paypal and I hate them. Long...

    Medium rucksack

Hi guys, I currently own a 65 litre rucksack and am on the lookout for a smaller day/weekend bag. I am looking to spend £20 or so and would like something robust with a good size main compartment so I can stuff it well (rather than a tall and skinny one). Any recommendations or tips on...

    Which course?!

That makes sense. I am interested in the Manchester meet up but it is a bit of a trek for me and my friend to make.

    Which course?!

The problem with me is that I am a visual learner. Would be awesome if there were some people up for taking a weekend to hang out and impart me with some knowledge :) Any takers? I could bring some tasty food and beers for all to share on the open fire...

    Which course?!

Ok I have been looking into attending a bushcraft weekend course but there are so many! Can any of you recommend any to me that you have attended? Maybe you run them and want to recommend yourself? Here are my requirements: - Location - I live in London, traveling to Sussex is preferable...
