I can't make it this time but if at some point in the future, you fancy a guided tour around Chopwell wood or a bit of a safari round the general area up here, let me know and I'll be happy to show you all round.

There's actually quite a lot to snuffle around, within a couple or three miles of the Brockwell itself.

all the best

Steve

Right then, events to take place, all being well that is........lol.....

1. fire craft basic tinders (charcloth, tinder fungus flint and steel)
2. bow drill (depends on what wood i can get hold of for the trip)
3. forging (only have basic kit to take and play with but will give it a go, do need an air bed foot pump though)
4. Game prep (if i can get hold of some bunnies we will skin and prep for the pot, and eat.......lol...)

thats about it, up for ideas and welcome people to teach what they know..........

the event is looking like Brockwell Woods, check out the other thread for details.........

if I can make it I shall go out ferretting beforehand for some rabbit, and bring a few pheasant and patridges down out of the freezer. If anyone has a dutch oven/big cooking pot I can use, we can all prep a bunny and make a communal stew
