Hey Guest, Early bird pricing on the Summer Moot (29th July - 10th August) available until April 6th, we'd love you to come. PLEASE CLICK HERE to early bird price and get more information.
Worked for me too - I saw your post on slings and having some kicking around tested it out last week and then tried it for real this weekend - very secure and very quick to set up and take down.
A bit different to his usual programmes but enjoyable and informative non the less. Would have been a bit more bushcraft orientated if he'd have gone into detail on tracking, rather than a post production effect highlighting the print.
I'd buy one of those key widgets *if* it was in the 20 quid region - there's no way anyone sober is going to buy a machined piece of titanium for 120.
Anyone know of a similar looking/functioning item at a sensible price ?
This sounds useful - I'd like to have a go at eating some wild mushrooms but SWMBO is terrified I'll end up eating the wrong ones..
Let me know what they say if/when you manage to get in touch.
I'm a bit rusty on this stuff myself, but I think it's Sin A = opp / hyp (from soh-cah-toa)
so :
40 / 148 = 0.270270
arcsin 0.270270 = 15.68 degrees
which on a triangle that has long adjacent and hypotenuse sides and a relatively narrow opposite seems about right.
does that work?

I booked via the webstore - not had confirmation yet though. I guess they're out and about.
Myself and Simon (assuming we both get booked in) are planning on setting off around lunchtime from Lawnswood (our office) - I'd offer you a lift but he's driving - if you want to car pool let me know...
If I can organise it, I'm hoping to do the axe workshop at the end of the month. It's amazing how much hard work with a knife can be replaced by a few cuts of a well controlled axe.
I'd like to have a go at the abo course but I'll need to improve my skills a lot before attempting that.
Hi All,
Here's a few pics and thoughts on Woodsmoke's excellent 'Woodlander' course I attended (and passed with a merit!) 3rd-9th May
Myself and a bloke from work were using basha's - nearly everyone else was in a tent, that turned out to be a good idea (for them) as it rained a lot...
