Latest Update over on Hammock Forums looks like they have finalised all of the amounts but with 7.5 miles of rope it is having to come directly from Samson so 3/4 week lead time

This group buy has gone stellar! I really feel for Opie on HF, it must be taking a lot of working out.
I'm still waiting to get prices for it. As soon as I do, I'll post up.

Update on order status 28/1/2011:

I am finalising prices at the moment with Opie. We feel that the best option is to empty the plastic spools into bags to save shipping weight and so make the shipping cheaper. Because we bought so much, amsteel are shipping it internally FOC, so more pennies saved.

No hassle Res I'm itching to get this sorted myself.

I'm expecting the final figure any minute. I'm waiting only for the international shipping charge to come, all the other costs are known. I would book it at a cetain size/weight, but the price difference is potentially $200 on the consignment!

I think its still being made in USA, it was such a big order they did not hold that amount of stock.

From the Payment thread it was going to be 6 or 7 weeks from the start of Feb, so that would put us rougly in the middle of April. I am sure there will be an update when he has some news. It would be good to see a picture of all the Amasteel togeather, like the one for the Firesteel GB.

Update; The line is expected to get to Opie in the US in a couple of weeks. The timescale is looking as expected. I think that mid april is a good conservative estimate for getting the whole thing finished.
