Ok folks,..

following Zingmo,s thread regarding his feelings of elation having lit his first fire with a steel,....


I though we could have a whole thread devoted to "first times"

So i'll start it off,...


Today i started making my first knife from scratch, i anealled a big old file in the stove last night and started chopping out the rough shape,...

not sure if i feel as happy a Zingmo yet,..but probably will as it starts to take more shape...

And the problem is when you make another secret batch, the smell will tip em off and again your stocks of lovely jerky will be gone!
