I just got an email from PETA saying that all anglers have small penises.
I mean jesus, they even created a game saying that everyone who fishes, has erectile problems.
Did anyone else get this or just me?

http://doanglershavesmallrods.com/?...rFbsWDPH6k7LPDGZfF8Q&ea_broadcast_target_id=0

I also had a vegan today telling me that "there are 3 times as many cows on earth as people, because we overfarm them"...would not listen to reason that there are around 1.4bil cows on earth.

You should sue them.

This is not reasonable behavior.

How did they get your email anyway?

I am of the opinion that pretty much all men have small bits...however I have large ones, so my perspective is different.

your house!
I allways like to ask vegans(the one's who shove it in your face) where there beloved soya comes from, and not to be so self rightious until youv'e properly researched your preachings. but as for that email, i feel as a group if they resort to petty insults to try and make a point, there on a bad footing from the start and won't be taken seriously.

My daughter(a vegan)says that peta are awful to work for, she has'nt but but knows of idealist types who have, and they flog the willing to death, getting them to work unpaid over time, "for the poor little animals". Malicious emails such as this, do nothing but undermine any good work they may do, or have done in the past.

I had the joys of dealing with some of these idiots once. I was doing a show that was near a company that provided materials for animal testing and a protest was happening. Some plonkers assumed that i was one of the delivery guys and started to try and block my van from moving, got rather rowdy so introduced them to a "Glasgow kiss". Raving lunatics

Rant over LOL

I only like to wind people up who have strong but slightly illogical viewpoints. Once wondered what would happen if I contacted them making like a potential new activist then turnup head to toe wearing some animal products. Of course I didn't because I had no idea where I could get a fur coat from and all the other stuff.

BTW do vegans realise that they are making no impact on the farming of animals. Also I really do like vegans who wear clothes and footwear that have animal products either in them or used as part of the production process. I reckon in this modern age there is very little out there that is completely free from animal products. You can forget wine and beer for starters!!.

PETA are not exactly reasonable people so I reckon it is wise not to wind them up. Although I do wonder if the anglers thing is correct though. I don't think so because most of the anglers near me are the biggest cocks I've come across. I'm afraid I used to go kayaking and that is why I have that opinion. It is only on a few rivers. Most of the rivers in the Lakes are ok its just the nearest to me have some rather worrying people who threaten anyone who might use the river other than their fellow anglers. Bad apples I know but its a few bad apples that can tarnish anything.

Got a Yank over here at work for a while. I always find it funny their views on our hunting and fishing opportuninties. Apparently its starting to change in parts of USA like over here with restrictions on hunting, things costing more, etc. Not a hunter myself but know some deer hunters in past and they moan about cost of doing it. The Yank says its getting that way in places with hunting and fishing. Unless you go out west that is. Heard Russia is the place to go for hunting.

I'd ignore PETA's email and mark it as junk. I'm sure they had no idea you were an angler and their researchers are probably not good enough to know if the size thing is true. If it is blame the cold when you're fishing.;)

I always think that people like this must come from a different plane of existence altogether.

I met someone once who claimed that street beggars were given government money to keep their dogs.

Amd an american who was convinced that illegal immigrants were given free healthcare.

this is the only way I have of explaining these things.

Well I'm certainly on another plane of existence from them. I don't mind killing or using products derived from dead animals if it is what I need. I have no qualms about testing drugs, treatments, etc. on animals if it will save even one life or even make one life slightly better. That might not be considered ethical by some but at the end of the day if that person is you dying because chemotherapy wasn't developed because you couldn't test animals so the human knowledge was 10 year plus behind where is is now then I'm sure your ethics would not be with the animal rights lot. Not that I am in that situation but you get my drift. I know of people who would have been in terrible pain without drugs that are most likely the product of animal testing at some stage. That was at their end game so to speak. Would the life of one fluffy white bunny or lab rat that wouldn't have been bred anyway if it wasn't for medical research be worth human pain and suffering? Not in my book.

PS I am an omnivore like every human being. Why fight it? If you eat meat why not use meat (living or dead) to help you in other ways? One argument I heard for a "vegan" wearing leather is that is was a bye-product of the meat industry!! ***! What's the point of that argument? How is that ethical. Hypocrisy is not too harsh a word. And vegetarians who eat fish or even chicken. The fish eaters are pescatorians anyway.

If you aint supposed to eat animals, why are they made of meat?:banghead:

You beat me too it Poddle, I was waiting until I got to the bottom before replying.
Animal lovers worldwide now have access to more than a decade’s worth of proof that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) kills thousands of defenseless pets at its Norfolk, Virginia headquarters. Since 1998, PETA has opted to “put down” 23,640 adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens instead of finding homes for them.
