As someone who is half Welsh and half Irish I would definitely vote for Jerusalem to be the English National anthem - absolutely cracking song! I'd even sing along lustily with you all - before we knock you out of Euro 2016....

God Save the Queen is technically racist against Scots, they just omit the offending verse about sedition and "rebellious Scots to crush" to avoid the hairy northern hordes from invading again

For the record I detest the use of Flower of Scotland as a Scottish anthem - it's a folk song, not an anthem and one which celebrates division and war. Time to modern up and do something much more inclusive for all peoples - the UK and each individual nation.
Surely the Scots are a Nation - not a race....just like the Welsh are not technically being "racist" if they refuse to hire English workers.

I'd agree with all of that, not sure what we could use in it's place though.
I think Jerusalem is a fine piece, and perhaps a good choice for the English.

I'am English through and through but I love Flower Of Scotland, Men Of Harlech too. I'd be shocked if Jerusalem didn't win out too. The OP did ask for a 'rock and roll' anthem but folks seem to be suggesting more traditional tunes.

We Will Rock You by Queen would be awesome. Just imagine the crowd belting that out at a major sporting event
I am very much an Englishman and proud. It will be the classic Jerusalem for me as the English anthem. There could be no substitute
They already do. That might be a problem (It's already a sports anthem in it's own right)
Not tthat I agree with it, but in law racism covers Colour, Origin, Race and Nationality (CORN)....
