`Selkie` is a Norse word (Correctly reffering to the Grey seal...there are no common seal seal folk) but the Gaelic is `Rona` a girls name.

Technically, yes i believe it is but then i am not importing it in large quantities, I just have a quarter of a seal skin as a gift from a friend, so fingers crossed i'm not in any serious trouble

I like that very much indeed, the use of the copper rivets and mixed hides is very interesting and the finished item looks great.

I believe it is providing it has been harvested by Inuit in Greenland. (Or something like that.)
