Will be spending august to december in Yorkshire, around Leeds. Are there any possibilities of hiking or so around there? I know nought of the area. I have some friends in Sheffield and a few in Edinburgh. Is it better to travel to do a weekend in the wild? Also if anybody has a spare room to rent around Leeds I'm interested! 
I have a few leads but nothing is booked. Thankful for any information. Can teach wilderness skills in exchange for learning proper british pronunciation (must leave this scandinavian accent with the pitch going up and down like a friggin' yoyo).
