Wristwatch band mod.

Okay Men, here's the problem, I have a solar charged watch (Citizen eco drive) and one of those webbing straps that wraps round the watch with the vulcro flap you lift to see the time.
Now I want to insert a window into the system so that the watch can continue to charge during the day.
Any ideas on how to do this without wrecking the band and on how to 'glue' the window in place.

Yes its very similar the camo in pic 1 and the sand coloured one in pic 2 , thanks for any ideas.

What about a hole punch?......the type for punching holes in paper to fit into ring binders i mean

If you punch a few holes in a line then a cherry glowing tent peg or similar should seal up the threads neatly if you just pass it through the hole without touching the sides
