woodlore template

Hi folks I am making my first knife but am looking for a template. The advice i have had so far seems to be to copy my org knife. Problem is I only have a clipper. I am looking for a bushcraft knife template like the woodlare or bearclaw knife. Also would 3mm or 4mm steele be best for a general purpose knife

i have made a woodlore prototype out of copper and will use this as a template when i make the real one, i just need to buy some steel

As far as I can remember (without raiding my bookshelf), the coffee table version of Ray Mear's 'Bushcraft' has a full sized (I think) photo of the woodlore knife in its knife chapter. If its not the right size, just scan/photocopy it and blow it up to the correct size.

Just don't post an exact copy / drawing of the knife here on BCUK, as it's (design) copyrighted. On BB there are several threads locked just because of this ...
