Well it's coming to that time of year when family members start asking you........ what do you want for Christmas?

So what would your Christmas wish list be?

For myself it's going to be a Dutch oven and some book tokens. Pretty easy really :)

On my christmas wish list is a "sharpening course" with Dave Budd. And being off work for the winter moot. :D

I'm tempted to say "Don't hold your breath." I think the World is in for a rough ride for a while.

Absolutely agree Wayland - hence the wish.

We don't acknowledge the Christian festivals but Yule / Winter solstice (or indeed pick your predating synchronous festival of choice) really has nothing to do with Christianity in any case so we do enjoy the older traditions of coming together and sharing home made food and good company.

So - I wish that everyone can enjoy some simple pleasures this year and enjoy good health, good food made with love and good company :)

Sounds as good as it can get, along with no screaming kids!

Heres one.

My youngest boy, Finn is disabled. He has a condition called SMA, spinal muscular atrophy. He cant walk at all and has muscle weakness all over. Appart from that he's like any normal kid. He's army barmy :)

He's 3 years old, never moans about not being able to do "normal" things that other kids can. We treat him like any of the other kids :)

I like to see him smile and laugh when he gets his gifts at xmas :)

I bought a some 24 hour ration packs off ebay, he's been playing with one of those all day.
Pretending to be a soldier cooking with a hexi burner (not lit) and mess tins. Still thinking about what to get him for xmas, he gets spoilt rotten anyway through the rest of the year :)

I'll send him down a little something for Christmas, so he learns to respect something.
