Hey, thats like me.

Id like to say I was getting something nice, but my family think Im too big for Xmas presents.

They will probably help me get the Car though the MOT though, which will be a big weight off my mind.

Silkstone, Blighty!
A dutch oven or cast griddle would be a fine present. Both would be exceptional!

I think that kit wise I am running out of options. I seem to be settling on what I want now and have pretty much got most things I want to use in the outdoors. I still don't own a good pair of binos, but if I did I'd leave them at home anyway! My skill sets aren't too bad, but they could always do with being improved. Not a present as such, but I'd like to be able to get the hand drill cracked in the next year coming.

I think I`ve got enough stuff to keep me happy for a while now so nothing really for me.

If Claudia Schiffer, Nell McAndrew and Uma Thurman knocked on my door on Christmas morning dressed in french maid outfits bearing gifts I wouldn`t turn them away though.

well you did say wish list

Absolutely agree Wayland - hence the wish.

We don't acknowledge the Christian festivals but Yule / Winter solstice (or indeed pick your predating synchronous festival of choice) really has nothing to do with Christianity in any case so we do enjoy the older traditions of coming together and sharing home made food and good company.

So - I wish that everyone can enjoy some simple pleasures this year and enjoy good health, good food made with love and good company :)

We don't acknowledge the 'Christian' festivals either but for us it's because they're based on those pagan festivals like yule/solstice/saturnalia. Each to their own though.
Still, we love getting the family together while everyone is off work and we head up to the lakes every year. Frosty morning walks, log fire and more than the usual amount of food and wine. Can't wait.:red:

As for a wish list, mine is as long as my arm because I'm just starting out really. I've got most of what I need on my person sorted, now I need kit for shelter and cooking. Donations???:)

Never ceases to amaze me how most people would never think to wonder what eggs and bunnies have to do with the death of Jesus, or what evergreen trees and mistletoe have to do with his birth.
Nice to know there are others who can see through it Red. Anyway let's not let this thread veer off topic, especially in the direction of religion!

Well, here's the first part of our Winter preparations - it takes a long time to preparpe the proper pudding - couldn't fit all my ingredients in - but you get the idea. One of our beliefs is that you should offer things in love that you have put effort into. Sadly I am a talentless nerk when it comes to making things but, fortunately, I can turn my hand to food and drink. I'll do the first racking of the winter wine later :)
