The banks of the Deveron.
I bought this hat last winter

http://www.factsurplus.co.uk/10371.html

wore it once and don't think I will again. It's the brown one back left. It's about a 60cm head size. HAT GONE

I got this zippo (attached pic) about 15 years ago, it's solid brass. I gave up smoking about 6 years ago and use a little jet thing with my kit, so they are both up for grabs. It's been empty for about 5 years so I canl post it.

I don't know what I'm after, but I'm starting to make knives so I'd be interested in anything to do with that - or anything of interest really.

Nice Zippo. I've got a couple so I won't be trading you anything for it, but if anyone else reading this thread is interested that particular one was made in October 1999. It's in great condition too!

Value on a Zippo? That depends only on how much a person is willing to pay. :)

Zippo once made a solid 14k gold model, and that sold for a couple thousand dollars. Vintage ones are tricky, but what I think it boils down to is how badly a person wants one, and how much the seller is willing to take to part with it.

Canadian ones are becoming quite rare as the Niagara Falls factory closed it's doors a couple of years ago, so the only remaining factory in the world is in Bradford. If you get hold of a Canadian Zippo, please treasure it as it's a piece of history. I'll never give mine away.

Cheers,

Adam

what sort of value do you put on them ?

The lighter in question is a genuine Marlboro zippo made in December (that’s what the letter J stands for) 1999 (that is what the Roman numerals stand for)
Mint in box for that year they are worth £14 and upwards.
Used but in good condition £10 upwards.
Bashed to buggery £3 - £6
I’d say that one is in good condition.
As with anything and as addyb so rightly pointed out it is worth what people are willing to pay for it.
