Wild camping on Exmoor/Dartmoor

Right, I know I'm new to all this, but can you wild camp on Exmoor or Dartmoor not? I can't get a straight answer, and I may just do it regardless, but when an angry farmer is chasing me I at least like to know I'm on the moral highground.

Basically Dartmoor yes, Exmoor no. Some online research will give you more details about Dartmoor.

Pitching a tent at night on Dartmoor is tolerated but not setting up camp & try to avoid the army training areas ...................welcome to the forum by the way.
