I have a DD hammock, but I haven't used it in anger, more as a seat! I'm guessing it's not waterproof at all and you'd need a tarp.

Who knows
if its not waterproof why has it got a layer to enclose yourself in it
would it be possible to waterproof it?

It is more important it breathes than it is waterproof, the best bet would be to use a goretex bivi bag. It is basically a waterproof sleeping bag cover, but you will still need a tarp, it covers your head and gives you a rain free area too for cooking etc.

Not sure who the ugly mug on it is though.....5...6...2.... :p lol :lmao:

Cheers,

Bam. :D
Bam, do you have any problems with it tangling? I have a cheap normal hammock that has cord at the ends and they are a nightmare to untangle every time I use it.

No Mate, not at all... I'm pretty carefull about how I fold it though  lol I follow the maker's instructions to the letter and so far it's been fine. I've got a normal one with the same sort of strings and that does take a bit more looking after though so maybe it's this design that helps. :D

It's great to set up facing a nice view too :D

Bam. :)

i have a hennessey hammock a-sym exped,
has it's down sides but i'm very happy with mine.
i have even made a "down" filled underquilt for it!

the other hammock i use is the "SAS" hammock/stretcher, because of it's dual purpose nature.
not as comfy by a long way but another option and alot cheeper, i got mine 2nd hand from Hoopers in Norwich for £15!

here the hammock is set up as an "A" frame pole bed(which takes time)

theres a thread on it. ;)
the side of the net is not well aligned in this photo.
