The top one - go to Brisa or the godd stuff shop

Middle and bottom one look like the standard bushcraft knife clones on the market and have both been made or at least handled by BCUK member Tilly. (FYI the F1 is a flat grind with convex edge, those are scandi grinds with a primary or secondary bevel)

The top one is also a stick tang, but the others are full tangs, so deploy totally differnt methods/styles of attaching a handle.

Brisa does full tang blades as well as stick tangs from various makers...also the usual answer to BCUK knife related questions - have you visited British Blades, as your questions are likely answered there, you will also find people selling what your after a lot of the time as well.

Hi Yarrow. I am definately looking to purchase one with a full tang for my first attempt so it'll be one of the bushcraft knife clones i'm going to purchase. I have just PM'd Tilly regarding them but will check out the British Blades forum as well.

Thanks for the advise.

Edit.

After checking out that site and other links found on their I have narrowed my decision down to these two blades:

Hi Zammo,

Can't get to the goodstuff shop page here at work, but it sounds like the Lapplander 95 blade you're looking at?

I've just handled the 115 version of that blade - have a look in my gallery, or my thread on it.

In my opinion I think it's a pretty nice blade, fitted my requirements - heavy duty, full tang and cheap! I did find the handle a little small though (read my thread).

Having said that the skinner you're looking at looks very nice as well - and the kit looks pretty comprehensive. Does it say how thick the blade is - just thinking about using it with a batton and heavy woodworking use, it looks pretty thin (as you'd expect from a skinner).

If the bottom one's an F1 you can buy a blade from Andrew at www.outdoorcode.com I think.
www.brisa.fi sell blades similar but not the same as the first one.

Have you tried contacting the makers for details of their blades?

I don't think the bottom one's an F1 - wrong shape and grind (the giveaway is the grind - F1's are convex).

The kit is shown with two SCALES (one for either side) BLOCKS on the other hand are used for stick/hidden tangs, or can be sliced and used as scales :)

Looking at the kit on Ebay, it looks pretty basic, but as there is not enough detail about the blade, can't really comment if it is 'good'. Certainly for the price you could buy a blade from Brisa or Goodstuff (around £12), and buy wood blocks or scales to your choice (around £4-£5 depending on choice of wood).

Try Englishrose over on BB. She has a wide range of timbers and plenty of burrs etc. A bit spent on a decent piece of wood for the handle can really lift an otherwise plain knife.

Other than that, any native hardwood could be used for a handle, and although it would be much plainer, it might make it more special for you if you have foraged for the wood yourself. Just make sure that the wood you use is seasoned otherwise it will probably split as it dries.

Here is the last knife I made (my third attempt). It is a Rassmussen blade from Goodstuff with oak and a mosaic pin. It is not a full tang blade.

That looks nice good job! I'm going to stick with a fulltang for my first attempt, which won't be for a month now as i'm in the process of moving and am a bit skint with solicitor and surveyer bills. :(
