In my wildest dreams...
So a lot of us have either owned or currently own a Spyderco. In many ways they are leading on the innovation of steels, making them available for us to try....

I have personally had and have quite a few spyderco's and was thinking which one would I reach for out of the lot....for hard use it would be the Manic 2 in 154CM with a hollow saber grind.....for every day use, it's this one....the Endela in K390

I am a stainless steel fan, but the edge holding on this makes it a go-to for me

So what is your choice? Add pictures for interest :-)

UKPK and a Tenacious, need to replace the pocket clip on the UKPK as it got hung up on my seatbelt and snapped.
You can get black wire clips for relatively cheap now from eBay/AliExpress if you ensure they fit the model's grooves - I only went aftermarket for those as I couldn't get a Spyderco black wire clip. If you want to stick with silver though, emailing Spyderco directly may be worth a shot, they've always been really helpful.

EDC a UKPK Salt here too.
I really enjoy my Spyderco’s. Some I regret selling some like my SpydieChef (we absolutely need a Magnacut or Magnamax version), but main go to these days are my UKPK salt and FRN Chaparral.

Reckon the yellow handled Salt is a bit of an EDC icon. I have a Heinnies 'blood popsicle' G10 that was my previous favourite, but the FRN is so light by comparison. I've never been a fan of the plasticky feel of it, but I'm a convert, at least in this case.

I have an orange Delica that's similarly handy but despite being a really useful knife, the lock limits its carry.

Wish I'd kept my Poliwog, it was persuaded off me in a moment of weakness.

The G10 models are a nice step up in quality but The FRN UKPK Salt is such a low maintenance and easy carry knife you can just forget about it until you need it. A rinse under the tap and a quick strop and it’s good for another fortnight. I bought some Titech scales in anticipation for this models release 2 years ago but they are still in the box.

Same here, the back lock of the Chaparral and its easily rusted CTS-XHP steel means it does get pushed firmly into second place. Shame because not much comes close for cutting performance.

Can't say I have a favourite Spyderco as I have a bunch. But the 52100 Millie here and the Stretch are in the 'carried-very-often' category. They are quite different from each other, but both just great. The PM1 is an old favourite but got nudged out by the Millie, and more permanently so when I bought the 52100 Millie and the Stretch again as backups for the other place.

The Air there is a lovely gents snicker. But, I can't pick any favourites from the mound of various UKPKs, Dragonflies, Urbans, DKPKs, Calys, Delicas and the like. There is just a box of them by the door. I will say, I didn't much like the Sage, Para 3 or the Native. Though I don't know why I feel the need to.

I have a spyderco myself - forget the model.

So what is it that makes us like them?? When compared to the vast amount of other bladed tools out there? Is it just the easy to deploy over sized thumb hole?

I quite liked this thread! Please don’t click if you’re not into hunting! A well used spydie
