By far the best bit o' kit I picked up this year was a US canteen and canteen cup. I had always used nalgene bottles and a regular stainless steel mug but this set up is brilliant. I have used it as a bailer, pot, bowl, bait holder, berry holder and actually as a cup. It also rides so well on my hip or on my pack, I always seem to have it ready to share someone's grog or have a quick brew-up.
Cheap too!
