As I may have said, sunset on the winter solstice puts my house in shade at 1:52PM.
Like HF points out, the long nights allow us to turn to different thoughts and activities.
Since my health has improved so much, I plan many more hours in my big & well-appointed kitchen.
Properly refueled, it's down into my shop for wood carving. Backlog? No more than a dozen half finished.
Camp in the snow in my back yard. Maybe February, the drifts will be 6-7' high.
You can cut blocks for a igloolik provided that you make a good snow knife first.
I have a wrecked hand saw you can have. Then you carve a soapstone kudliq.
Hot tent? How about a power line and a ceramic heater on the end of it?
