whats a decent climbing boot?

that isnt too expensive!

i've got a pair of british army boots, but last time i took them to scotland they just fell apart, they failed catastrophically. so did my m8's who had the same boots, mine were new though, and on both pairs the sole fell off and we had to climb in slicks.

no heavy duty climbing, just trail walking really.

In general, go for Meindl or Lowa if you have wide feet and Scarpa and Zamberlan if your feet are narrower. I have had Meindl, Lowa, Scarpa and Zamberlan and now would never touch anything except Meindl. But it's a huge subject really dependign on what you want them for. Many bushcrafters are Lundhags fans but I have no experience
