What spacers for a knife project.

I probably need some spacers for this knife that I'm building. what is available out there, or can I make something up. I need advice on this one.
The blade is this one . The wood is some walnut that I picked up on a walk, two pieces of brass to be filed down, when fitted together a good oiling with walnut oil.
The other knife in the Picture is one that I purchased from Captain Beeky, very similar blade without the blast finish.

I wish I could help you, have you tried emailing a knife maker for advice for the spacers. they are looking good mate 

I would go with buffalo horn with alternate pewter and black vulc fiber

I have some pewter, I'll look up vulcanised fibre.
Mind you pewter is very soft, I made a bolster for another knife this week out of pewter it was far too soft for the job.
