Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
Drop point because that's what is on my Ingram but I like the theory behind it as well. Good for several tasks. You can't carry a specialised knife for each task (well not often).
The F1 is a drop point. Moras are also drop points. A clip point usually has material removed either with a false edge or concave like a bowie or USAF survival knife. They all have rational behind their particular design. I had some Scientologists knock on my door last night while sharpening my Wetterling. It technically doesn't have a point, but they got it :super:
well i use a traditional puukko and its not a Drop point, ,Clip point, Sheepsfoot, or Spear point.... so i guess i have to choose other..... wonderful knives though
Sort of a hard poll to answer as I like them all and use most of them. I picked droppoint as it is my most commonly carried but really each has their place and purpose.
i have chosen spear point as the knife i am currently using is spear point but most of the time i use a puukko which is just a normal point (not on the poll??)
I use a lot of different points but I realise that the ones I use most are - in order - Drop, Puuko and Wharncliffe (sp?)
Two of which are not on the list....
All are good General Perpose points for The Great Outdoors!
