For me personally, camping requires only three things... A shelter (tent usually, but state lean-tos, tarps, or even rustic cabins count), a fire, and meat in tube form to cook on that fire... Usually a simple, cheaper the better, hot dog.

You can camp in the garden, that qualifies.

Any time spent outdoors overnight or more
