Amber flood alerts now, with more rain to come tonight and tomorrow.
I'm sick of all this rain. Don't particularly welcome snow, but it would at least be a welcome change.

Snow came around New Year, but nothing yesterday or today. Has been very cold though. Our Tibetan Terrier loves it although doesn’t know not to stand on ice over a moving stream. Fortunately she’s very light and has massive paws for her size, so no harm done.

10 hours of steady drizzly rain, and the snow aint moved. Expect its slushy underneath. Proper wet stuff. Cats wont go out, not having none of it. Our oldest cat, who wont use a litter tray, (literally never has in 9 years) just used the litter tray after asking to go out several times. Not good weather for cats this. :canoe:

I was going to test the plush palatka in the garden but my cats talked me out of it.

They looked at the rain and nope instead of meow.

Jackets on the mini beasts.

A slight fall of snow, but overnight the river reached it's highest recorded level ever, higher than last January which was the highest since 2012.

In the low-lying SW part of the Manchester conurbation we had a layer of melting slush on Sunday morning. There was a dusting of slush on Monday morning that disappeared during the day and a thicker dusting of slush on Tuesday morning.

I managed to get out for a short Monday lunchtime walk in snow on the hills during near where I work. It was above freezing, so it was slushy.
