Not a bad thread ressurection. :)

I managed to have today off. Watched the footy, cooked some tea, drank/still drinking a bottle of Ron Zacapa Rum.

Though tomorrow... i'm getting whipped. Gotta see to the car.. tyre pressure, oil, fluid levels, wash, wax etc. (Rach is well cracking the whip... new car, to us anyway) Then gonna have to make a Sunday dinner... Chicken this week, because she wants a Thai green curry on Monday with the left overs.

Garden work to do too. Got some pallet collars for some raised beds, they need digging into place, filling with soil... some onion seedlings to go out i'd rather sow mid to late winter and plant out in spring, but she watched a video on youtube, and now im under orders. Need to sow some more thai basil, coriander, and prune the normal basil tops to encourage branching, and then root the basil tops in water.(indoors windowsills).. dont even need much basil... but again... youtube and bosses orders. Got 5 of the buggers taking up space. Reckon we only need 2 until summer. So yeah, See you all tomorrow night when the Rums done its thing again and i get to sit down.

Absolutely bugger all. I shall sit here, listen to the Greta and think. It’s my favourite sport.

I have felt absolutely rubbish for the past two days, coming down with something. Spent the night and this morning with hot and cold shivers and thinking I was about to be bedridden for a few days, and then late afternoon just… perked up and feel fine. I feel a bit of a fraud missing work and now feeling better for the weekend, but usually it’s the other way around so maybe this is just the universe adding balance.

Bodies are weird.

Anyway, came out late to sleep in the woods as fresh air always helps me feel better. Hopefully I don’t start with a fever again, but if I do then I have the stove and can get some tea and lemsips on the go.

For now though, I am sat next to a fire in the cold air and feeling lucky to at least get some time outdoors this week.

Dismantling a leather sofa, and turning a sheepskin jacket into a waistcoat for work.

Also making woollen leg wraps.

Just attended a presentation on Pine Martens hosted by our local Field Society, followed by tea, sandwiches, and cake :)

Tomorrow, recovering the Disco Sport who's handbrake refused to disengage tonight :(

Frozen in place? Or something a little more serious? Been struggling to open the car doors on a morning last couple of days. It has been down to -8c overnight though. Was just a gamble weather to pull hard enough to break the seal, or pull the damn handles off. Volvo build them strong though, luckily. Reckon the Astra we had last would have just let me keep the handles. :D

They're electrically actuated so no idea - could be just frozen, could be a sensor fault, could be a fuse, a connector, or, I'm told it could be a servo motor. If it doesn't come off when I go over later I'll call out recovery.
