After much consideration, I think I've narrowed it down to a couple - the Bushcraft hatchet or the Bushcraft axe. Both seem reasonably priced compared with other, more universally popular makers, but I'm wondering about the extra length of handle: is it worth it?
Uses? The usual run of processing firewood, preparing kindling and starter wood and roughing things out before I set to with my knife; I suppose it's for a wide range of 'normal' bushcrafty applications, really...
If I'm looking at the wrong models, please let me know. Otherwise, if you have experience of any/either of these axes, I'd love to hear your feedback and thoughts.
Many thanks,
Richard
