Mesquites' answer's spot on - the site caters for left and right hand shooters. Although I've not seen them in a while, they used to have ambidextrous bows too.

Even if you can't be there the whole time you could always pop in for a couple of hours - whatever suits you.

You're now on my tally sheet for the activities.



As chance would have it Gwhtbushcraft's taken us to a total of 16 asking to do archery and/or rifles. The max number per session is 12 and as mentioned before, I believe the 'Go's - value - cost' ratio works best at 6 to 8. I'm camping on site this weekend and I'll book the sessions then (two 1 hour sessions of both) - If anyone else wants to use the ranges you need to say so before Friday - I'll stick a 'reserves' shootinng list onto the postings for anyone expressing an interest from friday onwards.

Well I'm not sure how I managed to forget this tiny snippet of information, but it's my Dad's 65th birthday on the 19th July and there is a bit of a family bash occuring so I am not going to be able to attend this meet now (I was realy looking forward to it to )

Its damned inconsiderate of him having it that weekend, but I suppose its been on the same day for the last 64 years so I can't realy blame him

There is a silver lining though; While you are all gathered round the fire supping Stags Breath and devouring bunnies etc I will be gathered round a pub table supping and nice pint (or three) of Broadside (for the uninitiated the beer of the gods - imho) and devouring an unfeasably large lump of beef, or pig, or fish... Aww now I've gone and made myself hungry.

Yes in the evening you will have the upper hand, but during the day? Well I'll have this! Oh and I almost forgot Westleton heath is within spitting distance as well - last time I went for a bimble I was almost squished by a brace of red deer (something had spooked them and they didn't see me until the last moment) and stalked a muntjack to within 30 feet.
Then there's the old mans' collection of 30+ single malts to browse through - by which time I will not be anyware near as think as you drunk I will be (the old ones are the best)

Agreed - Hobgoblin is nice, but Broadside (IMO) does not tavel that well, so unless you are drinking it within 10 miles or so of the brewery (and I will be) you aren't getting it's full potential, so I'll stick to my guns on that one.

Hmmm??? .... Couldn't see a single mention of open fires

I'll have to work out how to download the pics from my phone - showing a female muntjack who walked past me without realising I was there - she was so close to me that she could've almost sat on my knee .
