Last weekend I went on a short weekend trip with two other bushcrafters. Our destination was a water reservoir (called Edersee) which has some nice old primeval forest around it. It's part of the German national park "Kellerwald-Edersee". There is a popular hiking trail (called the Urwaldsteig), and we wanted to cover about one third of it. Using a ferry we were able to do it in a loop.
We slept in a picnic hut, where we were able to light a small fire to grill some sausages, bacon-wrapped dates, bannock on a stick and some potatoes.
All in all a trip I enjoyed a lot, even more as it was the first overnight trip for almost a year!
Enjoy the pictures!
(No, I didn't eat it...!)
